The eligibility criteria that are applied to applications are:  
* You must be 18 years of age or older 
* You must have 2 years of driving experience if you are a national of barbados or another country
* You must supply us with a photo identity document (passport or national ID)
* Non- nationals (with residency in UK/USA) will be required to provide a social security number 

There are a couple of general conditions – you must provide a valid motorcycle or driver’s license (not for bicycle rental). You only need to purchase a temporary ‘visitors permit’ for $5USD / $10bds. Apply for a Barbados Visitors Driver Permit. For all modes of transport, you also sign a ‘rental agreement’ and provide a security deposit, which is refunded at the end of the rental period, providing no damage to the vehicle.

Insurance forms and the temporary driver's permit form. Please kept the carbon copies with you  at all times.

The unique code provided upon submission of this application can be used to make your payment online using Visa, Mastercard, SurePay Online (bb.surepaybillsonline.com) or by visiting any SurePay location.

The fees for this permit are as follows:

• A period of stay under two (2) months will cost USD $5 / BDS $10.00.
• A period of stay exceeding two (2) months will cost USD $50 /BDS $100.00
